Ivy Hall Review is an online literary journal that showcases innovative fiction and essays (no poetry, please). We impose no restrictions on genre, we simply want your best idea.

All prose submissions should be single-spaced with numbered pages. Fiction should be less than 5,000 words and essays should be less than 3,000.

We do not publish writing that has been previously published, whether in print or online. We read submissions year round. Simultaneous submissions are accepted but you must indicate this at the time of submission. Please email the editor immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.  You may send up to two submissions at a time for consideration although each should be submitted separately. Please wait three months before submitting again. Allow six to ten weeks for a decision. You will receive notification of the decision via email.

Recent contributors should wait at least six months from the date your work appears in Ivy Hall Review before submitting again.

Ivy Hall Review acquires First Rights. Copyright reverts back to the author after publication.

Submissions are only accepted through Submittable. Please remove all identifying information from the submission document itself.

We accept cutting edge fiction and nonfiction.
